I was curious as to what the only canceled show of the long-running One Chicago franchise would be like. After watching it, I'm not surprised in the slightest that it didn't survive past one season. It's rather dull, with only a couple of episodes managing to garner any level of interest. It's also simply unnecessary in the larger context of One Chicago - Chicago P.D.'s handling of law enforcement is enough. If court proceedings were added to P.D. like how it works on Law & Order, then that might be something worth pursuing. But court cases on their own are not enough to carry a show like this. None of the characters here are really all that interesting on their own - Antonio from P.D. is obviously fine, but nothing he did specifically on this show was all that great. It's like they moved his body over from P.D., but forgot to bring along his actual character traits. I never really liked Peter Stone during his L&O SVU run (which takes place after this chronologically), and I don't like him much here, either. He's too much of a perfect boy scout.

I like this show, at first I did not wanted to watch it, buy with Dawson/Seda on the mix I changed my mind. However I miss Dawson working cases with Chicago PD, I miss the action scenes.
the writing on this iteration of the Chicago series is laughably bad.
Pretty standard stuff from Dick Wolf. Nothing new to see here.

*Sorry, but...*
I'm so sorry this show only ran for one season then was not renewed. It's interesting that the "Chicago" series was created and intertwines and it gets canceled in 2017.
I like the actors, the procedural component, the direction, and the courtroom scenes. It makes perfect sense to tie this show together with Chicago P.D. I suppose it was canceled due to low viewership.
There are two things that could be changed to make this show better...
1) There is no character development beyond the job. My wife and I always look for the romance behind the scenes. We don't want it to be overwhelming or even more than perhaps 5-10% of the content, but we don't want it to be zero.
2) The storylines are good but they fall apart, almost always. The cases are won in court with inadequate evidence and incomplete development. This, of course, is the crux of the show but it fails.
