As a season premiere opener, that beginning sucked! They ended the previous season with Dr. Charles being shot, then start this season with it's three months later and Dr. Charles is all fine. Oh, and I have never liked Doris, I still don't.

Yeah, I'm not surprised with how they handled Dr. Charles getting shot. That's about par for the course with how Fire does their season finales and premieres as well. End the season with a cliffhanger, and then immediately resolve that cliffhanger in the next season's premiere within the first 5 minutes. It's a really cheap way to drive engagement without committing to much of anything.
Man, Dick Wolf really has a thing for Philip Winchester (Peter Stone), huh? Brings him back for this even after Justice was canceled, and then goes on to give him the lawyer role on SVU for a season and a half.
