Fantastic first season. I love the Spellman family and their dynamic. I just hope Sabrina goes back to the ways she was, I don’t want her personality to change too much in season 2. I hope she realizes what a manipulative bitch Ms. Wardwell is.
I don't know.. for whatever the reason I was still hoping Sabrina didn't sign her name in the book. I guess the writers really wanted to distance the show from the TV sitcom style. Besides she's so rebellious it wouldn't surprise me if she figures out a way out of it.
I'm also curious to know if Sabrina had a brother/sister...I mean, who's the baby with the hooves?!
Nick and the Weird sisters 'news travels fast' and 'we heard what happened' about the 'failed resurrection' was very weird considering they were literally stood outside Harvey's house when the gunshot happened and Sabrina walked passed them...
I thought the finale was great. Somethings tied up and a few left hanging. A lot of spell use and some nice character playoff. I do hope they can write Sabrina out of that group and back on the good side of things quickly.
I though this show was going to be a little different, more dark.
I think they spend a lot of time focusing on Harvey and Sabrina's relationship. That was annoying.
Hilda, Salem and Ambrose were my favorite characters.
I don't know if I will watch a second season, they should change a few details so the show became more interesting.
if you can make it past the blatant feminist agenda that infests the first half of the season, this show actually becomes quite watchable. I give the last few episodes that weren't entirely spent male bashing a 10/10
I wasn't as impressed by Sabrina as I was hoping to be. A lot of my friends told me the first season was amazing, and that I would enjoy the many crazy things happening all over. However, by the fifth episode I was growing so tired of all the characters that I almost gave up hope that it would get any better. Sabrina is not likable at all, she does some questionable things, and even with everyone against her in the ninth episode, this changes nothing. Harvey is dull, the aunties are crazy comical, and while I was bitter at Salem not being able to talk, the end scene with Wardwell and her bird convinced me that not having a talking cat was for the better. I am glad people enjoyed this series, and I get why they did, but to me it runs into the same flaws as the Charmed revival does, too little time spend on the characters and their reactions to situations, no growth at all, not even one of these characters gets close to being a 3 dimensional character (except for maybe Hilda). Characters make decisions that make no sense with their personalities - I am looking at you Sabrina - and go from thinking one thing to the direct opposite without a span of two scenes - looking at Harvey at this moment.
This was my rant. Thank you for listening in.
A decent recovery overall from a couple of weak episodes, but a problem that's been there since the beginning continues to be obvious: namely, that Shipka simply doesn't have the acting chops or the stage presence that the show needs in its title character. She's okay in the nice girl next door sort of unchallenging way, but I just don't see her as capable of being the dominant and tough leader that the show seems to plan to make her in season two. Time will tell, I guess.
not that heartbroken over sabrina and harvey as they never really convinced me anyway? like veronica and archie. idk i just don't sense any chemistry between them and they're too picture perfect. also love sabrina's glow up
These first ten episodes were a masterclass on how to believably write a good character turning to the dark side. I loved the whole thing. Each episode felt really dense and it was way darker than I went in expecting. Michelle Gomez was so entertaining to watch. All the cast were great, but Hilda and Miss Wardwell were my favourite performances.
You'd think that, after Sabrina found ways around so many things ( namely her initial dark baptism and the resurrection ), that she'd also do the same with finally signing her name in the book once again - especially when it was such a huge deal in the very beginning... But nope!
On that same note, I do realise this means we will get to see another, darker side to the character, but... The move felt awkward, at least to me.
Kierna can't act for shit
Everything the 9 other hour-long episodes of Sabrina couldn't do, this one did. Hopeful for season 2.
Season finale was awesome. This was such a good first season and can't wait to what comes next. Fantastic adaptation.
Yeah... Loved the show, hated the closing of the season. It was like all that has been done was just poured down the drain. There's a tiny bit of hope for the special episode, but I don't think that they'll undo all the ending. Sincerely, i'm nothing but frustrated.
