Now, this is the best episode so far, I liked that it was deeper than the other ones and didn't have just the casual situations where people are shown as dumb. Even the "shallow" people were somehow brought back to earth when Sherman died and we could see different reactions of something as common as death, including Jane that was avoiding Daria; and Daria putting nothing but logic over everything else was super, in fact I identified myself with that.

One of the best episodes of the show's first season to be sure. Some of the earlier stuff with Tommy Sherman was kind of easy satire, but once he died, the episode kicked into another gear and really delved into both how Daria sees herself and how the rest of her cohorts see her, especially Jane. It was an interesting exploration of something surprisingly tricky, and the final scene with Daria and Jane in particular was stellar work from the show.
