I loved the first and last episode of this season, but the middle parts weren't great. What was the point of blonde guy's back story? Why did he hire detectives to look for his mother when (if I understood correctly) he shot her after she killed his dad and sister? And why was there no explanation for that? I can only imagine this is handled better in the book this season is based on.
Anyway, I know there will be a season 3, but if it really doesn't feature either Jessica Matten or Elva Guerra, which is what it looks like, I'm not sure if I'm interested. Leaphorn and Chee are fine, but I loved the other characters more.

I really enjoyed season 1 of this show but season 2 is bizarre and out there. With season 1 I would watch the episodes as soon as I had them, with season 2 it is the thing I watch when there's nothing else to watch.
