The Daily Fable was the English language version of the Dutch children's programme De Fabeltjeskrant, broadcast in the UK on ITV from 1973 to 1975. The show went out in the "Watch with Mother" slot at lunchtime in London, so didn't catch on so well as in regions where it went out in the "Magic Roundabout" slot just before the six o'clock news (for example in the south of England).
