this episode had everything! i loved it so much. just hate that we have to wait a week for the next one.
What a great episode. Def had those fear and loathing vibes going on
wait, is this show actually good?
 I, for one, love all the trippy sequences in any film or piece of media. This one is very reminiscent of Terry Gilliam's Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998), Enter the Void (2009), and episodes of The Simpsons and Mr. Robot. It has the summer road trip, Las Vegas, drugs, hillucination, and casino scenes. I love the abstract animation segments that's integrated in each of the episodes of the show too. They're what make this show stand out.
We can't change reality. But we can change the way we feel about it.
this is really one of the best ep in this tv series, don't even @ me
I found the "tripping on drugs" scenes hard to watch. I'm always bored when these kind of scenes happen in movies or shows, so I was just waiting for it to be over and was actually close to skipping it because nothing relevant seemed to be happening anyway in the first ~ 15 minutes of it. Though I read people saying it's a well done adaption of the comics, so that's nice to know. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
But I really liked the scene where they killed Billy's dad (Billy's breakdown was done so well, too) and the big fight against Chico. I'm actually glad it was Maria who killed him, though I guess she'll have to deal with the mental/emotional consequences of it in the next episodes. Really looking forward to it!
I'd say this was a real trip, but that'd be a little on the nose.
I really have to get those first volumes back out again and compare it to the show.
That was really good! Loved the different animation styles they brought in. Kudos to the production team.
Aw, an episode with a beloved Portuguese word for its title! But, to be honest, I was unable to connect the meaning of the word with the episode's content.
Trippy episodes will always be... Trippy. And completely bonkers! Which was, of course, the case with this one. I loved the visuals, particularly the cartoon characters. In a way, the scenes with the cartoon characters talking to Marcus reminded me of Happy! (another violent show based on a graphic novel). I feel that the whole wacky visual journey was the highlight of this episode.
Maria killing Chico has been long overdue, so it didn't come off as a surprise. There was a sense of twisted justice (and relief) during that scene.
I don't think Saya will be taking the affection between Maria and Marcus that lightly, though...

Human interaction is just a manipulation dance a way for people to get what they want from each other.
