Decim seems to be questioning his decisions more... he thought it was so easy to decide who was good and who was bad. Maybe so did we. This episode continues to challenge us in our assumptions... how does the adversity one has experienced factor into our decisions?
#1 - #4 Notes
So far a fine start. I definitely liked the episode the most because it really helped to sell the unique setting by introducing it to us through the lens of the people who just died. Very high production quality as well, very high craftsmanship in the drawings all over the episode which was a joy to see. The second episode was in comparison kinda redundant though. The recap element and over-explanation of things which were already obvious made it feel like the show had little confidence in the deduction ability of its own viewers. The third and fourth episodes were fine, but it raised some irritation regarding the setting itself. It’s weird how the games are supposed to show the “darkness” or “true nature” of the persons participating but all they did so far was intentionally create extremely stressful situations causing psychotic reactions out of their participants… and well, dunno, but that’s just a biological reaction isn’t it? You can get that out of everybody. Matter of fact, a person is a result of all their experiences so they should already know what kind of people they are, because they have access to their memories. It should be unnecessary to play weird games in order to be able to judge people. They aren’t consistent with this anyway, because in the third episode they just had a normal bowling match. And this episode in itself was kinda cute, but how reliable is this game method if you aren’t even consistent in how you go about it? This show has a supernatural element with the idea of humans having a “soul”, so I wonder if that will be delved into at some point (which could explain more about the “nature” of people in this show to explain the games). So far the show was still pretty entertaining so I don’t think it’s bad, but I do hope for some further explanation down the road. There is already a plot point about Decim not being able to properly judge people, but I don’t know if they will go even further to question the purpose of the games themselves. I also think the main characters as of now aren’t very interesting. I basically have zero emotional stakes in this as of now, so the next episodes really will determine how I feel about this show.
Ok this one was a little funny. It is still failing to make me care about any of these chars.
Sui/ abuse/ you know what….. I take it back. All the women so far have been shit. Also this guy only regrets killing himself because he disappointed his mother? Fuck you.

Well first I thought it‘s going to be the story of an otaku stalking the celebrity with the bad ending.
But the story behind the boy is very sad.
