So what exactly happened to the ark tech in Nolan and Irisa's brains? I probably missed something cause if not they had to be dead by the end of the episode.

I have to hand it to them, I hated Alak when this series first started, but now I see he's the best Tar, and I ship him and Irisa. Good series.
