Good old times when the hotel boy could be asked to organize some prostitutes for you. And when such old white clients like Oppler, Hannover, Bauunternehmer were real and who liked to call those girls like so many other clients "hostesses", so that everyone is able to pretend they are not prostitutes. This is the strangest of prostitutes, though. She is not a 25 year old student obviously, maybe she was in the 80s. Fashion-wise she seems to be stuck in the 80s.
Given the title "Melodie des Todes", it takes exactly 23 minutes till the viewer is able to guesstimate the murderer, the reasons and who's conspiring. Vengeance is the name of the game. The HIV plot is a last puzzle piece. The episode is stupid, silly, not very intriguing in any shape or form. If that were at least a portrait of the irrational HIV fear in the early 90s, the life of super rich aristocrats in Munich's castles or the dire reality of Munich's sex workers, nope, it's just another of those mediocre Derrick stories.
One remaining question: what does that black haired girl in the dance club wear? Is that leather? Is she rocking a pair of leggings? Are these tights?
