The episode is off to a very good start. That's an unusual scenario. But not unrealistic. Everybody feels for the old man in that Rudi Assauer scenario. Is that really legal though? Shouldn't he have a lawyer check the donation contract? Even the cruel family does seem genuinely concerned at times and unsure if their behavior was alright.
Good episode. It's a bit slow placed but the plot is kind of elaborated, the scenario isn't a dull repetition, it's a relevant topic in modern Western societies, the murderer isn't too obvious (btw: good shot in the middle of the night, in the dark, in the pouring rain), Derrick - sporting once again his classic leather trench coat from WW2 - is showing some good police work. The end is suspenseful and surprising. In the end, tables have turned and the old man ain't the victim anymore.
Yet another episode in which Willi is rocking a pair of glasses. Doesn't look good on him.
Quote of the day: "Von seiner Denkweise her ist er ein Mörder.
That blinking map in minute 52 in the precinct. What is that thing? Why? WTF?
