Classic Derrick murder: Shots fired through a closed door, a witness listening on the phone.
What an annoying and boring episode. Derrick drives around in town and interviews several people in order to learn about the victim's character. Most dialogues are painful to listen to - pure psycho BS. And this retard (pardon my French) becomes like a friend to Derrick (cf. the title) just by listening to people that knew him? BS! It's not even credible that those women fell for that poor man's version of Don Juan after he was educated by that laughable pick-up artist. I've never seen Derrick play the bad cop that dramatically. It works surprisingly well. That's a very weak ending. Just bring the partners of the women to Derrick's office, infuriate them and they will admit their deeds. Why do serious police work then if it is that easy? And why write a full episode if you only need a shouting and angrily acting Derrick to solve any case in under 2 minutes time? Even Harry isn't need as the "good cop".
Gosh, I hate Christiane Hörbiger. She is not a bad actress but she always plays these strange experienced mother/wise aunty/grandma type of woman. Hat, perls, costume and looking 20 years older than she probably is.
