Maynard is such an ugly name, man... It doesn’t fit. I super understand Mike feeling this need to honor his grandfather, but they could have put it as a second name. It could be Connor Maynard Delfino, for example. Also, there’s this issue of naming the child after a relative and hoping he’s as big as... But anyway, Susan trying to change his name on the sly was unnecessary, but funny. Lucky for her that a Griselda appeared in the office!!! And what about the balloons? Susan making up that Mike had been molested by a clown, help! I have so much fun with Susan!!!
Kayla is a natural born villain. A psychopath! And from the beginning she has already shown this behavior, right after Nora’s death. She had already made it clear that she didn’t like Lynette, that she would be incapable of loving her and seeing her as a mother. And Lynette tried hard, she’s ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to blame. It was very disgusting to see her being handcuffed and arrested because of a false report from that demon, who watched everything satisfied. Even more so for the scene of Tom visiting Lynn and proving to be on the fence, as she herself pointed out. She is his daughter, yes. But she is troublesome and needs attention at this point, and not close his eyes as if she doesn’t understand the gravity of her actions. She understands everything. It was really good Tom doing that trick for the psychologist to hear everything. She tried to blackmail and manipulate, it was a good thing he saw that.
Just living with the grandparents is not punishment enough, even more so because you can see that they will be spoiling the girl. What she needs is a follow-up as soon as possible, because it only tends to get worse as she grows up. It’s worrying behavior. She was willing to leave Lynette in jail, to separate her from her kids, just because she never really liked her. What kid does that?! I wasn’t moved by her despair in the car. And I got angrier at Tom for the icy look he gave Lynette. She wasn’t the one who caused this... Kayla just reaped what she sowed and still came out in profit. She deserved to be punished, not a hotel pool bath. End of story!
Orson is so inconvenient... Bree has already made it clear what he needs to do to get her to forgive him. His repentance is very limited. If it was real, he would redeem himself by turning himself in to the police to pay for the crime he committed. But no, he prefers to hang around her even in the beauty salon. And what about that Reverend Green? I feel very disgusted, and to think that this type of man who calls himself “man of God” really exists. The guy blatantly harassed Bree inside the car, tried to grab her by force, and for being rejected, having his ego hurt, decides to expose in a CHURCH that she is a “devourer” and deserves to be unmasked. He’s trash. At this point, it was lucky Orson was around. I have no doubt that he really likes Bree, that he does love her. I thought it was pretty cute he trying to defend her and still ended up in the hospital! But he only has one path to redemption. If he accepts to pay, then we can say that he is a person with “hero traits”, as Mary Alice narrated.
I burst out laughing when Gabrielle throws herself into bed with the cop to trick Ellie. And then she slaps him for using his tongue during the play. It was amazing. Anyway, it’s amazing how this show makes us feel empathy for people. Not everything is what it seems... Usually the drug trade is represented as being managed by bad, perverse, cruel people... And Ellie is the opposite. At least she appeared to be. I felt sorry for her when she told Gaby what betrayal had done to her family, to her mother... And when they showed her walking aimlessly around town. Damn... But she committed a crime, right? She was lucky Gaby let her go. BTW: Carlos really believed that Gaby was having an affair with the handyman. My God!!!
Katherine training with Bree was amazing. And what a tense scene when Wayne went there to remove strands of her hair for a DNA test. He has a crazy face, an unbalanced bad character. Lucky for Kath, Bob and Lee showed up just in time. This mystery for me is still very exciting and with these events, it’s heading to have an ending as grand as the 3rd one. With Adam kidnapped, Wayne trying to find out what’s behind Dylan...
