With studios cranking out grim, dark, depressing and cynical by the truckload, nice to have this spot of charming brilliance standing in welcome contrast.

This is a gentle comedy of everyday lives, it's just a shame it obviously never found an audience on BBC2 and has been relegated back to BBC4 again, but at least it wasn't cancelled.
This is an all-time fave for me… You’ll never see Gareth from the office the same after watching this.

What a great show!!!
No yelling or screaming, just a pleasant story of a couple of guys following their dreams of finding treasure. Only the Brits could pull off a show like this and I wish there were more of them.

Such a good show, very typically British. The acting, cast, story all outstanding. I'd be interested to know what our American friends think of it ! they would probable create their own version, like the office or shameless :-)
Obsessed with this show from episode 1, even though I've seen it a few times I'm about to rewatch it because my husband needs to see it.

This is a little gem, which received high accolades. It's a character driven series with inconsequential plot points. The real enjoyment is watching great UK actors playing ordinary people live out their peculiar lives in a small village. I'm really enjoying the series and am just finishing the 2nd series of 3 (currently airing). I give it an 8.5 (totally enjoyable) out of 10. [Comedy generated by the quirks in the common place]
