sorry but Lily was being so stupid, calling the police to the only place that was kinda safe for her? And with her actual name? idiodicy?
"boring"? This was the fastest paced, action packed episode yet!
I wonder a lot about where we go from here and I think it's mostly because the pacing of the series has been a bit slower than what I'm used to seeing from Garland's writing. Television obviously allows for significantly more plot but I often wonder whether or not more plot is always a good thing. For example: I cannot help but feel as though this could have been the third episode and perhaps we should be watching a six episode mini-series. Episodes two and three could be condensed into a single episode. There are clearly some plants in those episodes that have yet to be paid off and I know that Garland is a talented writer--enough to make those plants matter--so I'm not particularly worried about this, but it just feels like there was a tone that was struck in the pilot that was abandoned. That tone was more in line with Ex Machina and Annihilation, and I am quite a big fan of those films, Annihilation in particular.
I'm along for the ride with Devs but the intersection of concepts in this story is new to me so I'm not entirely sure where we might be headed. Interesting use of determinism in the writing though!
And the plot thickens and deepens. What's a foot at DEVS?:thinking::thinking:
Why are all the female Devs so not very feminine?
This still feels like poor writing and acting behind a veil of pretentious mystique.
The actor playing Lily is especially bad. 4 episodes in and I see nothing to deserve the praise the show has gotten. So either the whole show has to be seen to be appreciated or...
Kind of boring episode and the ending...come on...to ridiculous.

Some who comment here carry a very narrow view of gender. How 'Devs' handles gender is preferable to a lot of other series. if one cannot see why, consider looking up how Garland uses philosophy in his video projects; it's akin to that of Terence Malick.
