[8.0/10] A technical marvel. There’s not really any story here, just Santa bursting into a home and decorating the place. But the whole thing is stunning to look at, especially for the time. Watching the array of Santa’s little toy minions decorating the tree, dancing and celebrating in the living room and all around moving in sync with the music in a dose of synchronized chaos is a holiday delight. There’s some good gag work at play like the toy fireman spraying artificial snow on the tree or Santa using an umbrella to increase the space available in a little girl's stocking. And the kiddos coming down just to see the toys pack themselves up and Santa escape up the chimney is a nice touch.

My understanding is that, around this era, the big gimmick was films with sound, and you can feel that in the way this is largely a musical interlude with the toys bobbing along to the music as they complete their tasks in a symphony of both sound and motion. Overall, a nice holiday gem.
