Does Simon have the power to teleport? I doubt anybody gave him a ride, and he didn't seem to have money for a taxi. There's no way he could keep up with Gemma in a car simply by walking.
I on't even know what to make of this show. The second season was so different (and better) than the first. But I've always felt bad for Tom. His parents have been terrible towards him and toward each other. Yet, Gemma has the nerve to say she's been a good mother and only made the mistake of choosing Simon. In her eyes, she can never be wrong. All of these characters are so screwed up, and none of them are right. The only exception is Ros who was barely even in this season.
I've never seen a finale that felt so right and so wrong and so satisfying and so disturbing all at once. And to think this all started with Gemma finding a strand of hair.
I give season 2 a 7.5/10. The show overall is a 6.5-7/10...

Really hope there was no Season 2. Terrible plot. It will be a 10 if it stops by Season 1, but it’s 1 now.

I thought this was a brilliant ending! Satisfying to watch her husband completely break down, was quite pitiful and somehow even moving, especially combined with the flashback scenes of happier times. Loved the post-partum depression segment. My only slight issue is that they really foreshadowed death, and no one died. I feel this show is clearly inspired by greek tragedy, it was a bit anticlimactic that no one died, even if I'm glad they didn't.
