I could get into this, but I personally really dislike Senku's character design.
Really like the pilot, I thought it got kinda boring an repetitive near the end but I never actually finished it so gonna just rewatch it all.
This was a good pilot episode. I terms of plot, it moved quickly and got straight into the main story. The downside is that we didn't get to spend much of any time with the characters before the plot hit, so I didn't feel anything towards them. I also found one of the main characters' motivation incredibly weak and cliche. The other character I'm rooting for, but again, I feel nothing toward because we don't know much about him--nor the other MC--besides his archetype. Hopefully, we get more character development and backstory soon. If we'd gotten some in this episode, my rating easily could have been an 8 or 9...

Awesome start! I just watched the English dub on FunimationNow, having already seen the first three episodes of the Japanese dub on Crunchyroll. Not sure which I like better. Both dubs are competently acted. The Japanese is, as per usual, a little more 'over the top' or overacted, but the English follows that pattern as well, to an extent. I think I'll stay with Japanese just to stay current, as English is two weeks behind, and treat myself to an English rewatch when it's over. I'll want to catch things I missed the first time around.
