I always like it when the case of the week has some connection to a problem of modern society. It's what makes this show good together with character development.
Usually we would have expected Watson to go back to the brownstone, thus making Andrew's death something of a plot device, an easy way to make Sherlock and Watson go back to the place we feel they belong (together). However, once again, the show proves that the characters can evolve beyond what we are used to, and so Watson goes back to Sherlock but does not forget her own particular and strong motivations (either for a 'normal' life or for the freedom to advance on a career of her own).
This, more than the cases, is what makes this show worth it.

Watson is back! I do love the way they take liberties with each others personal space; morning alarm calls, nailing up a door without warning!

This particular case was interesting and in the end the thread leading to the gunman was a simple sketch, it's all about asking the right questions
