1x06 The Next Episode

That was a good episode. I liked seeing a window into Cassie and Mckay's relationship, and I like Rue better now that she's not using. But Rue should maybe be more curious about what happened with "Tyler." Her instincts are going off, but she's ignoring that piece of recent history? If I were Rue, I would have interrogated Jules about how Tyler ended until I got some answers.

Kat going to the dark side just made that nebbish wimpy guy respect her more.

I underestimated how slimy Nate is. He's a psychopath.

So, Nate was never reported for assaulting Tyler and almost killing him (which doesn't just go un-questioned in a hospital), and then Jules doesn't think to report Nate for printing child pornography? That shit is a slam dunk and easy to prove he printed it, and he's not exactly a mastermind.

There are just so many plot holes and things that make no logical sense for the sake of drama. I expected more from HBO.

This whole Nate mastermind thing is so far fetched. Come on man. Tyler just go to the cops and tell them Nate has broken into your house multiple times and assaulted you. Nate’s arc is over! Not to mention the cops don’t question Tyler at all on why he’s in a neck brace and has bruises on her fave? Okay!

Also the rape charge in the pool wouldn’t hold, dozens of people had their phones out filming it lol.

Jules you’re Better and smarter than this.

Nate is a superhero villain. Anyone calling this shit realistic is insane.

Jesus Christ, every storyline with Nate is so stupid.
First of all, his threat to Jules about her spreading child pornography makes no sense whatsoever and no judge would actually put her on a sex offenders list for sending nudes of HERSELF to some guy she was talking to. Also, he’s literally the one who printed out those pictures of her, so… if anyone did something that would be illegal, it’s HIM.
Now, second of all, it makes NO SENSE that Tyler would give himself up for a violent crime he didn’t commit just because Nate threatened to tell people he raped Maddy when their entire hookup in the pool was witnessed and videod by a lot of people (which would attest to it not being rape of any kind). Not to mention, Tyler can just turn Nate in himself for assaulting him. It’s a complete mystery as to why Tyler didn’t do that in the first place. Like, some guy just breaks into your house and beats you into the hospital, but somehow you ignore that and don’t report him?? What kind of insanity is that?:skull:

So far acting, filming, makeup etc super great no word but the whole pilot of the show is just a mess. Yeah the context, the message they want to give in this show, I get it, it’s a nice thing for people to try to convey this message, but man the way they reflected on this show is so messy.

Not really a good episode in my opinion, as half of the characters are being so repetitive and dumb, and many things are so hard to believe, but man, the lightning and sountrack is so damn on point.

So many leaps of faith to take. I tend to dislike teen shows because of this kind of plot holes (aside from the fact that I struggle to be interested by the themes). This time the HBO brand made this appealing to me but this is closer and closer to the verge of being just a glam The CW show.

Okay, I am sorry, but this show really expects us to believe that this stupid blackmail scheme Nate is pulling makes sense. How is Tyler supposed to have sexually assaulted a woman in his condition? When he has a neckbrace, a detached vein in his eye, and is suffering from concussion like symptoms still? While there is no proof he was at the Carnival in the first place, other than Jules fake testimony, but did sleep with Maddy. Leaving out the dozens of witnesses who watched them both get into the pool, and have what to most would think was consensually sex. Definitely the worst episode by far in my opinion just because of this dumb plotline with Nate, Maddy, and Jules.

Ethan is actually such a cutie and he genuinely deserves a million times better than Kat, who seems to have turned into a whorish bitch for no reason whatsoever. I guess nobody ever taught her the difference between confidence and arrogance… but well, she’s no longer anything like the sweet and shy girl Ethan was interested in initially, so I have no clue why he even still wants her now… He needs to find someone who will appreciate him, because I know he would treat his girl right:heart:

So here we are it gets worse every episode the story with Nate just dont end up.
