Extrapolations 2023

[tv+] Throughout this kind of anthology that establishes connections between the characters, there are some stories that are more interesting than others, especially as it moves forward in time and show more distant possible futures. It isn't so much a question of imagining a future marked by climate change, but of forecasting, based on current scientific data, what life in our society would be like in forty years from now. There is less dystopia to propose some solutions through bioengineering, and although it is inevitably discursive, the proposal is more interesting than usual.

I was close to rating this show 10/10… Then the final episode aired. One of the best (worst) examples of a magnificent story being rendered [#%^~?£ terrible by a poorly planned ending. It’s still worth watching for all episodes preceding the last.

In any case, I highly recommend this show despite its untapped potential. It still manages to captivate audiences with its realistic portrayal, talented actors, and occasional exceptional episodes. The intriguing subject matter alone makes it worth watching, and even though it falls short of being a masterpiece, it still offers an enjoyable viewing experience.

I really enjoyed this, very thought provoking and interesting. Hopefully it wakes people up to the future we may have if we don’t change habits

FFO Broken Mirror - storytelling and plot, well done!
I knew that here are some 1-voters on principle, just because there are some gay people kissing each other. Oh wait no! I mean, because something about this climate somehow... Just take it as it is, food for thought to improve your own actions - That's SciFi.

This is a great show if you want to watch hypocrite actors who drive gas guzzling cars, fly private jets and sail yachts all over the world tell you how important it is to save the planet by not doing the very things they love doing. A rule for me and a rule for thee. It has all the big names flocking to it so they can spread their message that they are constantly preaching, yet doing something counter to it.

Felt relevant for the current climate situation, a bit like black mirror. Also, I just like Daveed Diggs, so that has influenced the rating. Overall, I wasn't bored, but I wasn't blown away. It's better than average

Although the last episode was only "okay", the rest of the series was excellent. The comparison with Black Mirror is deserved. The main difference being that this series encircles the single overarching threat of climate change. I thought the storytelling, production value, and exploration of future technology and society were all fantastic.
