Why are the proctors such a hilariously underdeveloped villain? Nick says they're the worst they've ever seen...Based on what? Tying people to the fence and eating brain stems? I feel like we've seen worse than that.

I was totally shocked that Madison just snapped and killed Troy like that. Will this finally expose Madison as the nut that she is to Nick? It seems like Troy had done so much worse, or at least on par. For this to be the thing that finally pushed Madison over the edge really shows how focused her tunnel-vision is and how little she actually cares about anything beyond her and Nick (and, periodically, Alicia).

This two-part finale is everything great and awful about this series wrapped up together. The good: tense action, great momentum from juggling multiple plotlines, sweeping epic direction, high-budget special effects, character conflict. The bad: Corny writing (the christmas scenes were TERRIBLE and so unnecessary; they weaken Madison as a character, more than anything), rushed chracter deaths (I always get the feeling the actors wanted out of the series so the writers passive aggresively give them unceremious deaths that make you wonder "wait...is he really dead?"), weak villains (there's no reason why Proctor John couldn't explain his reasoning for being a dick; he just seems evil for evil's sake which is boring). At the end, I felt a mix of love and resentment for the season for all it's great and weak moments. That I feel positvely at all is an achievement unto itself, considering I hated the 2nd half of season 2 so much that I didn't plan on even giving season 3 a chance (thankfully it opened strong and made me fall back in love with it).

The way it was going with Madison and Troy putting up the C-4, i thought they were going to hook up for a second there LMAO. i really didn’t expect her to kill him! and with Nick right there too. Nick has to be realizing his Mom is cold blooded right ab now.
Oh no!! Troy struck down! That’s a real shame. I didn’t like him as a character initially but he had started to become one of the most interesting and evolved.
