Initially, I researched Future Boy Conan with just curiosity to know about Hayao Miyazaki's work since I'm an extreme fan of his work. However, I came across an extremely sensitive and well-made masterpiece. After all, all of his works carry a high quality seal. Nethertheless, i never saw him narrate directly about death like in this episode. In all of his films we see the shadow of drama. However, he never goes into depth directly on the subject, always as a silent observer or as a metaphor. Here the drama screams. It's a shame that few will see this series. Good thing I saw it.
