Kinda sucks for Max but maybe it's for the better.
i hate that i have to stop watching for the night on a sad one smh
Do Not make fun of animals!
There were dogs in cages in the center those needed to find homes. There were luke rory and lorelai. Lorelai adopted a hamster and then treated them badly. She could laugh while she was telling this story. This is supporting the animal abusement. No need for this in the series. Why did you do that writer?
Apart from this, she showed how immature, rackless is. Did not call max and could not say to break up then ruined her daughter's life.
paris is also another immature, disgusting figure. Rory spoke to her still.
I hate the episode mostly. I give 1 / 10 rating, mostly because of animal abusement.

[5.5/10] I wasn’t a big fan of this one. There’s a funny thing about Gilmore Girls where the idea of Lorelai, as the mom, being the carefree one and Rory, as the daughter, being the more responsible one, is really cute and funny when it’s over something like getting a pet or staying out late with a boy, but starts to feel a little messed up when it’s over something like Lorelai making out with Rory’s teacher at school.
I’ll admit, I’ve never really liked the Lorelai-Max stuff, both because I just don’t feel the chemistry between them, but also because of the way that it feels like a really inappropriate thing for both Lorelai and Max to do. The episode at least acknowledges that here, which I can appreciate, but it means I’m not really invested in the relationship, even if it’s supposed to make Lorelai super smiley.
The problem I have with this episode is it seems to want to have its cake and eat it too. It wants to explore the foolishness and irresponsibility of what Lorelai’s doing, with Rory and Emily taking her to task for it, and her acknowledging the error of it. But it also wants to treat it as a human mistake, and is, to my mind, a little too exculpatory about it.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the notion of people making understandable, human mistakes and facing the consequences of that and having to own up to it. But the show frames it in a “well, she was overreacting to an understandable anxiety about Max being too much a part of her and Rory’s worlds to where the hardship if it ends could be unbearable,” and I guess I just don’t buy that as an excuse for putting her daughter in that position or not being more of an adult in how she handled things with Max.
To some degree, that’s just Lorelai. I think Emily’s right when she notes that Lorelai wears her heart on her sleeve and doesn’t always think before acting. We know that her heart’s in the right place, and that tends to make it easier to swallow when things go awry. I don’t like moralizing against characters, particularly ones who are in positions I’ll never be in. But so much of the deal with her and Max felt wrong from the start for me, and I think this episode just compounded that feeling, while letting Lorelai off the hook too much for my taste.
We also get a meh wrinkle with Paris. Her seeing the Lorelai-Max makeout session was predictable, and the whole “my home life is bad so I threw stones” thing is pretty trite. In addition, her half-detante with Rory was hoky and didn’t land for me.
But hey! We got sixty seconds where Sookie reflected on her relationship status and then ginned up the gumption to ask out Jackson, which was a nice, understated part of the episode. So there’s that!
