16x06 Whistlin' Past the Graveyard

i really enjoyed this episode and thought it was so fun - i don’t care much for schmidt and nico but the storyline with the sunflower kid was cute, LOVED jackson’s alex impression, thought amelia was so cute and found the scene with link’s parents really entertaining, don’t care much for pregnancy storylines but enjoying the concept of amelia and bailey as baby buddies. i have to say i am LOVING the flipping-a-terrible-hospital storyline, it’s so much fun and i like seeing alex as a chief again! also, i generally don’t like jo very much, i find her really irritating and the actress difficult to believe, but i enjoyed a more lighthearted and fun/silly role for her in this episode. her makeup was awesome! sadly while i adore teddy i still despise owen which makes it hard for me to enjoy her scenes - i feel like she never gets any storylines independent from him and i would love to see her flourish as her own character solo for once. i don’t hate meredith’s storyline, but i don’t like it either. it kind of just happens in the background for me. i’m not convinced by her relationship with deluca especially compared to riggs - he just seems SO WRONG for her, and the 20 year age gap between actors makes me super uncomfortable. i really preferred him with sam tbh. finally, hurrah for an episode with minimal jackson/maggie drama!!! worst couple to have ever been on the show (bar any relationship involving burke or owen)
