The last episode and a half had some redeeming qualities. The finale was good. Not great. Not near the action of the first season finale. All in all the entire second season had less action.
Really liked the ending. Many ways to go from here. Partially wanting to follow Clara as well, but I guess I should prefer her just disappearing. Means she made it.
But whatever will happen at Utrex from now on - I hope just great things. Maybe Sandy will turn on them or something, preferring the old ways. Let’s see.
Shockingly, this was a pretty decent episode. As for being a pretty decent season finale, I'm not sure. I find it kind of ironic how the final episode of the season is one of the only episodes, if not the only one, of this season, that is fairly decent. More surprisingly, it wasn't because it was the final episode of the season. It was genuinely decent.
The music choices were pretty good, as well. And I think they played a huge part in the episode coming across as decent. Especially the song that was playing when Hanna and Clara dropped Kat off at the airport and the song that was playing at the end of the episode. Those two songs were good.
But the fact that this episode was decent enough doesn't make up for, essentially, the whole season, which wasn't. And I find that extremely disappointing. Furthermore, I am not looking forward to the third season, even in a sense of hope that it'll be better. At the very least, it could be more exciting, whatever that's worth. But I don't think it'll be as good as it should be to make up for the mediocrity of the first two seasons. It could be worse, even. I'll still watch it, though.
Sandy's survival was surprising. But I'm here for it if she ends up returning in the third season. I never particularly liked her or hated her, but there was something likable about her character, as I mentioned in my comment on the previous episode. Jules, on the other hand, I hope isn't going to be in the third season. And if she is, I hope she gets taken out. As for Helen, I'm indifferent towards her.
Overall, I'm glad that I've gotten to the end of this season. It was quite the ride and not that good of one. But, as I said, this was a decent, final episode, and perhaps the only decent episode of this season, or one of two decent episodes, at the very least. I'm guessing the third season will be back at The Meadows as that was suggested with what Marissa said at the end, and I'm not too sure how to feel about that. Hopefully, it won't be too much like most of this season was in that it'll mostly take place in The Meadows and everything going on in it will be practically the same as it was in this season.
Season finale. It was good, let's see where season 3 takes us now
This was a solid season finale -- not perfect, but solid -- and I'm already looking forward to season three. It'll be interesting to see where it goes, given the changes to payroll and the tenuous new relationship between Marissa and Carmichael and Hanna.
