Harrow: Season 2

2x10 Pater Familias

Very good season finale.

While Harrow's career's put on the line and he himself put on involuntary psychiatric treatment order (for hurting Callan when he successfully resuscitated him), Fern's kidnapped by Chester who's forcing a final confrontation with Harrow.

First of all the dental records... why does no one check with the dentist? Again, why did no one do a DNA-test on the burn victim? And Grace puts to use what she's learned this year, investigating something that doesn't feel right. Maxine's willing to cover up her wrong-doing and throwing Harrow under the bus while Fairley is showing loyalty. I understand Maxine's point of view. They couldn't otherwise convict Chester, but enough is enough.

Which leaves Harrow... apparently, it's true: the first kill's is the hardest. To what lengths does he go to protect the secret around that first kill? What if Simon had become a threat to that secrecy down the line? Harrow killed Chester not because he was a monster, but because he had to shut him up. How much of a monster is Harrow turning into?

Could have done without the cliffhanger... done-to-death-trope.
