A wedding in the small town of Cat Gut Cove takes a downward turn when the Father of the Bride drops dead at the reception.
Meet the Fureys. They run the only wedding, funeral, and ambulance services for a town in Newfoundland. We follow the Furey's as they meet with the interesting people they commonly encounter during their days of work. A funeral for a former teacher, a gay wedding, and an accident in the woods means it will be another busy day for the Fureys. The Furey's debate over lifestyle choices and the family business.
A stripper teaches women to strip for their husbands, a new investment for part of the wedding service business. Nick applies to the CBC to start a new show for kids. On board the ambulance, a baby is delivered. A pet funeral confuses the Furey's back at home.
The boys, Troy, Cyril, Nick, and Todd head to the woods for hunting. Myrna and Todd plan to expand the wedding services with videos and information on traditional weddings in Newfoundland. The Furey's discuss the lack of a coffee joint in Tray Cove and Darlene shows Nick how the funeral makeovers are done.

Debbie has something to tell her dear Cyril. A rival ambulance service beats the Furey family to a call. Darlene and Mamie Lou fight over control issues.
Cyril interrupts a wedding then meets Mamie Lou in the men's room. Mamie Lou and Darlene are still in a row. A woman delivers her baby requiring the ambulance service for hospital transportation. Todd wants to invest in new equipment for the funeral home. Nick and Darlene grow closer
