I must admit, I wanted to hate this show, simply because I loved the film so much! But I was proven wrong. I think Zoe Kravitz knocks it out of the park. The supporting cast is also pretty solid as well. Definitely a fun, easy watch
This remake gets everything right: the tone, the soundtrack, the performances are all spot on across the board: Zoe Kravitz is terrific in the lead role. This show deserved the world: it should have never just had that solitary season.

rob has got to be one of the most insufferable tv characters i've ever seen. this would've been way more enjoyable if the main character was actually likable
It could be said without the intention of being wrong that this series reveals to us how important the secondary ones can be. Despite the correct work of its leading actress, nothing is the same regardless of her two companions, they support, empower and give an enormous meaning to the whole. An unmitigated discovery. The Soundtrack, how could it be less, is to be enjoyed to infinity and beyond.
At first I found to the main characters to be a bit grating but they got better as the show went on, the soundtrack was excellent. Overall quality tv I was hoping there going to be a second season but unfortunately no it's a shame.

A much appreciated reboot of the John Cusack (2000) classic of the same name. Up until this point, I think I grossly underestimated the acting chops of the pint-sized hipster Zoë Kravitz. Performances on the whole were stellar and protagonist Zoë was subtle and empathic where needed …and angsty, sarcastic, witty where unexpected. Not generally a fan of character switch-ups, but she nailed the neurotic imbalances of Rob (aka Robin) and I felt totally engaged throughout each episode. Lisa Bonét (who coincidentally featured as a love interest in the first incarnation) would've been proud of her daughter.
With an approximate runtime of 29 minutes, similar shows of the same duration would have pissed me off. By the time you get engaged, the episode is already finished. However, Hulu's High Fidelity spin-off made for great binge watching as I collapsed one episode after another… good job!
