Don't waste your time if you were a fan of How I Met Your Mother. Copying the format doesn't automatically make it good. It's missing the comedy and chemistry that made the original so good.
This literally hurt to watch in the sense that you involuntarily tense up each time the laugh track goes off and you're not sure why, which turns into a whole-body cringe when they're just spamming it in. By the time the 25 minutes are up, your upper back feels like you've sat in coach for a 12 hour flight, and you just can't understand what the point or the merit of this being produced was.
I just can't.
I gave it up till now, 6 episodes. The show just can't keep my attention.
It's not "How I met your father - the female version", the vibe is different. But I didn't want to watch another version of that show anyways.
Sometimes it feels a bit forced and way more slow paced. It's not for me. It's not even easy entertainment. It was quite hard to watch.
It's not great, but it's not a trash fire. I think all of the actors are doing great jobs, but the dialogue isn't always on point, and multi-cam sitcoms just get so zany with their plots and the choices the characters make, they often become so unrealistic it's unwatchable. I hope that doesn't happen to HIMYF, but I can already see it happening a little.
That being said, I think for the first season this is a great jumping off point, and once the writers really find the right tone it could be a really good show.
The laugh tracks... just why?
A show with actors who need paychecks reciting their lines. Nothing more.

In my opinion, the biggest problem this show has is being compared with How I meet your mother. Because obviously the fans had a very high expectation. But if you ‘forget’ that is related to HIMYM and just enjoy the show, I think it’s cool! I loved Charlie :clap_tone2:

Nothing to take from this, plain bad. Bad acting, bad stories, bad humor...
I really can't point anything good on that show, even the cameos from the original cast aren't well written, are unfunny and felt so off...
I had very little hope for this, but they lower the bar even more. I'm actually surprised they green-lighted a second season, the first one was terrible, you couldn't get attached to the characters, second season doesn't change a thing, unfunny stories, exaggerated acting, unlikable characters...
watched all ten episodes and probably "laughed" 2 to 3 times, and by "laughed" I mean just some air coming out of my nose

Genuinely I wanted to like this show after watching all of How I Met Your Mother and they are trying to be funny while taking a lot of the original elements, but seriously missing a soul.
And funny enough I saw a short for clip How I Met Your Mother they are majorly missing the chemistry of the original crew, and a Barney Stinson

Soo, first impressions from the first episode. I don't know whether I like that they put the father in the very first episode.... Makes it seem like they assume they aren't going to be around to tell stories about what made the mother the mother before the father came into the picture. I never minded the "wrong" girls from the original show.
It’s like they’ve taken two characters, some places and a bar from HIMYM but forgotten to take the sense of humor and the skill to write the script.
It’s not awful, it’s nothing at all. I don’t even remember the names of the main characters, even though I don’t have usually have such a trouble.
Some episodes try to copy HIMYM. Try. They can’t even steel it the way it would look funny. I don’t remember any time I laughed. More about copying the original: they stole and broke Barney and Robin. Robin turned into a bitch of the type I couldn’t imagine; Barney is no Barney at all. The two are lost.
The plot is too simple. It’s built on one strategy: one characters says another to do something. Thr other one doubts at first but does it before episode ends. Even the finale od the 2 season is built the same way.
Summary: skip it. Run away and never even think about watching it.
I just finished the first season and am not impressed with it.
Right now I’m not sure if I’m going to watch anymore of it.
Is this bad? No. Is it worth watching? Maybe. It is nowhere near as good as the original. The first season was more enjoyable than the second. Maybe the nostalgia goggles wore off by the end of the long second season. With this being said, I am moderately upset this was cancelled, even if it was below average content.

I loved it. So sad they cancelled it right when it felt like it found itself.
Like always, a lot of people left a comment in the first few episodes. But like any comedy show, characters need to grow on you. Writers need to find the comedy, get comfortable with the inners of the show, bring out the backgrounds of the characters... And repetition is almost always what makes these shows become familiar by the end of it. By the final of the second season, I'm actually sad it was the last episode of the season. I wish we could simply keep a show like this go on for a few more years, and know about it when it starts out.
And to all the haters referencing HIMYM: you know that HIMYM had all the same struggles in the beginning, right? They were not your best friends after only two episodes ;)
This show is good for casual watching but not as funny as HIMYM. Some episode are funny but so far nothing iconic as HIMYM episode.

This Show has found what was so great about HIMYM, but also at the same time has really done good about not making it a copy of it. Really loving what the show has become as a Mega HIMYM fan. Wouldn't replace any of the actors.
I actually like it. It did make me feel things. It isn't as funny or smart as HIMYM but I am looking forward to the second season.
So disappointed with this. Hoped it would be as good as the original but there is just no real pace to the show and not even sure I laughed once. Shame as it could have been a good concept. Feels a bit like they got Kim to film all her parts in one morning then did the rest of the show.
I wasn't expecting this to be great but must say that I'm pleasantly surprised. Some of the nostalgia from How I Met Your Mother is definitely present here but it also brings some new stuff to the table.
I think that Charlie was a really great character here and thought that he's probably my favourite of the series so far. I think the show did lose me in some places though as some parts came across as bland and like they'd been done a million times before. But Colbie Smulders cameo in the final episode - loved that! I'm intrigued enough to check out another season.
It is growing on me. I am sticking with it for another season before making a final judgement.
For the first season not good not bad its okayish. Too early to conclude since the first season is just 10 episodes and season 2 is coming with more than 10.
A pretty good spin off of the famous How I Met Your mother, as it is basically a carbon copy with a few twists. If this were a stand alone show I would probably give it a higher rating, but because it has so much to live up to it almost makes the show disappointing and boring. However, if you watch it with fresh eyes as its own show with little tie to its predecessor, its very comical, clever, cringy, and well filmed. But the plot is a little scarce and has too much going on and too many new side characters introduced right away, but hopefully that gets cleaned up as more seasons come out.
I binged it. Easy watch. Liked the nostalgic tones to HIMYM. Better than I expected although not very funny.

Yeah, as much as I liked Hillarys in "Younger" - this show just isn't good.
Watched the first two Episodes and didn't laugh once.
Tom Ainsleys performances came close twice - but Comedy Shows are supposed to make you laugh and at least make you smile a few times per episode.
This show just doesn't do that.
Maybe they should care less not to offend people and more about actually being funny...
