Very enjoyable episode. Using Barney's feelings about marriage in general as a metaphor for people's feelings about gay marriage was a great twist, given added layers given NPH's real life sexual orientation, and the fact that Barney is totally encouraging of his brother's lifestyle, just not his commitment to...well...commitment. There's also something adorable about how he melts once he realizes there's a baby involved. It's a bit cheesy, and a quick fix, I'll admit, but it works.

The subplot about the other four members of the group being dull couples, and Marshall and Ted being flattered-then-annoyed by getting hit on was a little pat, but good enough as a just-for-laughs B-story. All-in-all, a stellar turn from Wayne Brady and the enjoyableness of the premise carry this one.
