I still remember how worried I was after that utterly cheesy Season 1 ending. So cringe. But this episode was a great pilot that works by giving our characters something interesting to do beyond the episodic grift. Danny vs Micky is something that was bound to happen eventually and this head to head contest is satisfying. Danny going on pure instinct and eventually Mickey showing him up with a little bit of forethought.
