I love them so much!:kissing_heart::kissing_heart::kissing_heart:
Okay, first of all, disclaimer: I have no problem with angst. In fact, I'd even say that I'm a fan of it and have consumed my fair share of angst-ridden stories. Hell, I would go as far as saying that I'm tolerant to melodrama as well as a consequence (I don't like it, but I don't necessarily mind it, either). Considering this, I do have standards when it comes to angst: how it's presented, how much of it there is, if it adds anything substantial to the piece. Basically, I only like angst if I deem the conflict that leads to it as purposeful, or at least within reason. And yes, I understand that these are teenagers and teenagers do stupid stuff all the time (especially teenagers with feelings) and maybe it's realistic that Teh becomes so reckless that he forfeits his chance at his first choice uni as a way of... what, exactly? Apologizing? Atoning for his mistakes? It ends up benefiting literally no one but the next hopeful in line at the waitlist, though... but I still found all of it pointless—only existing as a flimsy device to have something to cry about—and because I did think it was pointless, it made the climax and the ensuing resolution less satisfying than it would have been had the writers taken a different approach. I know some people saw Teh's decision as some sort of sacrifice on his part, but I felt like the execution was simply too flat to justify that reasoning. And I'm just a lowly watcher here, but I think an equally-dramatic but less frustrating way it could have gone was to have Teh heavily consider giving up his slot, yet ultimately go through with his admission. This would exacerbate his guilt/remorse, he would feel neither proud nor happy about having gotten it, and they still could have included him breaking down during the afterparty; maybe he could even reveal this in an act of selfish pettiness to Oh while they confronted each other (and this would have replaced that goddamn awful yet very realistic IG story back-and-forth): "I could have given up my slot, but I'm glad I didn't," Teh would say; "I don't need your charity, I can get in on my own terms," Oh would rebut. If you really want to turn it up a notch and perhaps keep the ending as it is, Teh could fail his last semester and not graduate that year, while Oh passes and attends uni earlier than Teh. Well as it is, I do think that it's a cut above most Thai BLs I've watched, especially production-wise, but yeah there are just some writing decisions that I'm not entirely sold on. Still a solid watch overall!

I don't want to jinx it too early, so I'm not gonna write the sentence what I want yet, just gonna emphasize how proud I am of my boy, Bass. He poured his heart out to Oh in front of the whole class as a total introvert! Damn, I'd love a SO in my life like him... :sob:
Okay, I get the part where Teh doesn't know how can he like a guy if all his life he was attracted to girls. That would be a bit frightening for me too. But the "If I date him, how can I tell my friends?" part... Bish just proved again that all that matters is him and how others look at him. Bass literally told that he liked Oh in front of the whole class - girls, boys, their friends and even their teacher! How did their friends react? They didn't care (in the phrase's positive meaning)! So why would it have been different if it was Teh instead of Bass?
Anyway, I'm not complaining, I'm still waiting for the outcome to see if I can write that sentence down. :joy:
I was actually cheering with Tarn, the guys, Bass and Oh, wth! I may be a little too invested in this story... :joy:
I... don't understand... When Oh ran back to Bass I was happy at first, then I was like "wait, what if it's his goodbye to Bass?", and now I'm confused because it didn't seem like that, but Oh apologized to Bass for not being ready (or not wanting) to see Teh sad. So... what now?
Yup, thought so that this will get a shit ending. Teh doesn't deserve Tarn as his friend and definitely not Oh as his boyfriend. But if Oh is that stupid to go to him instead of Bass even though Bass never once treated him wrong but Teh yes... That just means that Oh is an idiot. :person_shrugging:
I would've given this much more points if it would've finished with Bass and Oh together, but hey - Thai BLs often have a habit of romanticizing psychos, stalkers and abusive people, so I guess it shouldn't have been a surprise that Oh ended up with the narcissistic and possessive main character instead of the genuine and caring supporting character...
