Throughout the season, the show has done a good job of building up Omni-Man's character, contrasting overt bouts of mania (like killing the Guardians) with more subtle signs of sociopathy (like when he couldn't comprehend why Mark was upset over casualties). Well, in this episode, there is nothing subtle about Omni-Man's villainy. From comparing his wife to a dog to what he does in that subway scene, Omni-Man shines in one of the goriest episodes of TV I have seen.
I read somewhere they've already ordered 2 more seasons ! OMG, yes please !!
An astounding finale on all levels. Poor Mark, to be put through all this shit. That leaves scars my man
I just watched an alien father pummel his own son to near death. To say I'm in awe would be an understatement.
That may very well be the best episode of animated television I've ever seen. Wow.
Makes the 9/11 parallels of Zack Snyder’s Man Of Steel look less exploitative.
What a fantastic series! I really hope Amazon greenlights Season 2! As a superhero fan, "Invincible" is a breath of fresh air. Ah... it's good to have superhero stories that aren't just the DC and Marvel line-up.
SCORE: 9/10
Incredible episode, animation was so brutal it was amazing, loved every second. Perfect finale, the train scene omg. Probably one of my favourite fights not just in animated super hero shows but it tops anything in the mcu, or any superhero show/film I’ve ever seen, so good. I can’t wait till season 2 and 3 and 4 and 5 Idc keep this going forever
This show is amazing im seriously waiting for a new season... Words can't express how epic the battle scenes are!
Great show and I can’t wait for more. What an incredible plot and thought provoking story. In a sci-fi way of course. What a cast on top of it all too!
I hope the second season has better animations.
Really brutal, this episode is scary.
to think that someone like that existed in our world.
Strong first season, brutally violent, looking forward to the next 2 seasons.
This episode was just straight up savage!
Great show about Super people.
I have NEVER seen such a terrifying brutal depiction of violence.
That was soul killing stuff.
Definitely the saddest ep for me...for pretty much the entire second half.... Until the very end, and I was able to smile again.
"you, dad. i'd still have you." heart breaking, vision blurring, nose stuffy, eyes watering. absolutely insane
steven yeun's voice acting here is absolutely insane.
Not as good as The Boys, but then not much is. I'm not a fan of action sequences/fight scenes, but this episode was beautifully done.
Don't ever come back to Urath you asshat! XD
So this whole thing really was nothing more than "What if Superman was evil?"
Amber deserved better
So literally just a long-con version of the "conquering-earth" plot... expected, to be sure, but far from satisfying and ultimately disappointing in its triteness. Basically no different than Guardians 2 in its principal father-son dynamic.
Still, mostly fun, and the sheer ruthlessness of Omniman is welcomed. The magnitude of the destruction that's showcased here truly exhibits humanity's insignificant without becoming too belabored and overbearing in its own doom-and-gloom and consequently risk losing all weight. (Though the emotional and physical remnant of the mass scale calamity never stays its welcome, which is the preferred option from an entertainment standpoint but rings hollow and false from a story point of view. But that's just the nature of superhero films and shows that never seem to know when to stop.)
Decent pulp. (Although I'm not sure if more the-government-is-putting-chemicals-in-our-tap-water conspiracies were what we needed. Also fuck Amber... jeez, such a poorly written character that gives Felicity a run for her money.) But, to be honest with you, for my money, shit like Damien Darkblood's demon parody of Rorschach engaging in byzantine plots is the kind of stuff that I would rather be watching. Action is ok and all but only so many times you can shock the audience.

Firstly, superhero stories love eugenics lol— and it’s always wild cause they fight against it while promoting it at the same time, every single time.
Truly fascinated by the different conventions this show used — mostly in its violence and story building. Looking forward seeing more I think.
Are we REALLY supposed to enjoy watching a dad beat his son to a bloody pulp? I should never have watched this far.
So brutal and emotional. Invincible/Mark works perfectly as the stereotypically good main character we love to follow
Brilliant, and brutal! Loved it!
That went about as well as could be expected. I have no idea what Nolan's long game plan is but I don't suppose he'll wait for some of those things come to pass before giving another shot at trying to make Mark see things his way...
