[‘8.8/10] So much fun and wacky shenanigans in this one. It’s a shaggy episode, but one filled with so many enjoyable hijinks, but you can’t help but be on board.
Charlie trying to hype up Green Man and getting into a rumble with the “Philly Frenetic” was a hoot. Frank trying to get their World Series tickets despite his apartment being fumigated with Dee and Mac going in after him was a well-shot bit of gross out humor. Dee’s plan to run onto the field to kiss a player and her selection process was amusing. Mac’s letter to Chase Utley was kind of adorable. Dennis and Charlie trying to gameplan getting hit by a car to get tickets was their usual crazy logic. And the whole group’s efforts to sneak into a supposed “secret tunnel” (hello Avatar fans!) from the Holiday Inn gave us a chance for all-around craziness from The Gang.
Plus, the frame story with the judge helped give a freewheeling episode some structure. And the jumps back and forth from past to present, like Dee reading Mac’s letter, Dennis and Mac doing a pushup contest, or Charlie’s rant about his countersuit, were all outstanding. Overall, one of the funniest and most enjoyable episodes of the show so far.
