1x01 The Friends of English Magic

I wasn't drawn into this in the least, but I wasn't put off either. Going to check out some other episodes because they are there.

as a fan of the book I loved the characterization of all! jonathan and norrell and childermass are great. My only complain is how altered the story is... but well

Loving the quirky characters and the setup for what to come was great, I'm very intrigued to see what happens next. A part of my wants to read the book but now I'm not so sure I want the show getting spoiled for me. Really hope next weeks is as strong.

Great first episode of Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Looking forward to the next episode. I have high hopes of this series !
