A few scenes & lines of dialogue seem to contradict earlier episodes (like sapphire, copperhead, and the magician guy seemingly meeting for the first time yet we saw them work together in Fury. I also think you can briefly see Lex at the start of Legends), but this one probably takes place before those episodes.
And as an episode, it's fine - but really just setup for a better payoff.
Part 2 is quite good though, but you'll probably zone out of this one a couple times.

[7.3/10] Another episode with a lot going on, but most of it is quite interesting. The prospect of a villainous Amazonian, who has deeper and more sinister plas than she lets on, is particularly intriguing. The cold open not only establishes Batman as the badass he always is when facing most of the Injustice Gang, but also establishes Aresia as formidable in her own right, with the way she marshals the rest of the baddies and takes out The Bat.
Her backstory is a little rote, but appropriately tragic. The idea of an orphan adopted by the Amazonians is a compelling one, particularly with the idea that she was this close to completing their final ritual before bolting to destroy “the world of man.” The prospect of using germ warfare on heroes is a different sort of scheme than the one we’re used to, which makes for a unique challenge to Leaguers who can usually get by on strength and superpowers.
Of course, there’s also the fact that Aresia aims to take out all the men in the world. I’m sure we’ll get more on her motivation later, but it at least provides an interesting wrinkle to her plot. Otherwise, this one is a lot of fistfights and backstory, plus a bit of Diana as a fish out of water, which isn’t a bad tack at all.
Overall, this one feels more like setup for the next episode than a story that puts its cards on the table early, but I’m still curious to find out what happens next!
