The opening scenes (following the reused ones from the S1 finale) don't make much sense when put under any kind of scrutiny. Raylan commands the truck driver to take Boyd to the hospital - but he doesn't know anything about that truck driver. He didn't even look at the truck driver. For all he knows, that driver was willingly working with the cartel, so that was quite a risk. Then he shoots the guy coming out of the plane... and then boards the plane. Who's flying it? The guy he shot? The woman? Some unseen pilot? None of those people are going to do it willingly, which means he then has two people he has to keep at gunpoint (because the woman is one). Can Raylan fly a plane? Seems highly unlikely, and doubly so when considering he has to somehow keep the woman under control while doing it.
I know none of this is important, and they just wanted to wrap up that story before moving on to what will be the main thrust of S2. And I'm glad they jumped right into it. But this was sloppy.

Weird seeing Daniel Faraday as a redneck.
