This was alright. I enjoy the world set up so far, and none of the characters seem too horrible, save for some serious red flags with the daughter. I always enjoy a show that can take a super mundane and basic plot and make it spiral into absurdity, which is exactly what this episode does, although I wouldn't say it's paced as solidly as something like a Regular Show episode. Both the main story and the wife's subplot were fine, each had one or two jokes that made me exhale. The kids' plot, however, really sucked and dragged down the episode a good bit. Also, while they weren't obtrusive or too frequent, the mere existence of pop culture references is making me worried for later episodes' humor.
While I wasn't a huge fan of this episode, I still think it does a fine job introducing a lot of the main characters and what I'd assume will be the tone for the rest of the show. The hints at a more serialized story have me somewhat excited, but everything else was just okay. Hope the show really finds its footing later on.
