I liked this even though the whole "Jack the Ripper" story-line has never been intriguing to me in the least. There was a little less of Kolchak bumbling his way around as he did in the movie and its sequel. He stood up to the police and his boss Tony; often manipulating them for the purpose of advancing his covert work on the "Ripper" case.

I did like the superhuman capabilities given to the Ripper character. The fight scene between the villain and the police late in the story was kind of special. During the fight, there was no background music, or as far as I can tell, any additional sound effects added. The ridiculous amount of gunfire during that scene is hilarious (but awesome).
