I really like John Oliver, but this episode was some big pro-debt propaganda. Rather than do any real investigation or enlighten us about how debt really works, he basically just said "People don't really know how or when the debt will hurt us, so don't worry, keep on spending." Stimulus is important in trying times, but we really do have to talk about how devastating it will be in the future - especially during a week where the DXY is tanking.
