The most unrealistic part of this episode is that someone actually applied for a renovation permit in NY. As an avid Louis Rossmann viewer that's the first thing that caught my attention.
This was the 300th episode of SVU. Using archive footage from S1 to pretend it was about a case from back then was interesting. Benson pinning the flyer was very obviously fake, though.
