Great episode, hope will surely return.
Ok, so 3 minutes in the writers do as they always do in this universe when they don't have an idea how to make an enemy powerful:
They change the rules - Here: a mobile magic blocker.
It wouldn't be as laughable if Triad would have used it in their HQ as well.
Thats the first mistake.
2nd mistake: Why can the bullet made out of the monster unable to harm vampires witches or werewolves harm a witch?
I mean, maybe Triad doesn't know that - so the a-hole shooting her wouldn`t either.
But the writers should have known, so the bullet should have done literally nothing!
Oh and the previous reviewers overlooked something: Hope isn't affected by the creature, so she shouldn't be forgotten due to her immersion.
Think about it: The power is applied to what he consumes, so if she is immune, she shouldn't be forgotten.
I'll finish here, as listing and arguing all of the plotholes could probably fill a book...
From the beginning I saw that I cannot compare this show to TVD or TO. Even the first one, TVD, at the end had so much supernatural rules and species it sometimes blew my mind too much to still be entertaining (bc how can you fear the 'big evil' if there will be sth worse right behind the corner EVERY TIME). So I somehow was able to watch it by focusing on the characters, not the constantly different monsters and not on the relations to TVD or TO. Which made me hella happy most of the time. BUT ... I found myslef loving this episode bc it reminded me so much of TVD finales. You never knew how theyre gonna treat the next season (I mean how theyre gonna screw your fav characters) even tho you knew theyre gonna come back. It doesnt take all the fear/excitement. Im feeling so much after this like how Ive felt when Damon was going to "die"/go to another realm for god knows how long and what kind of situation will be waiting for him. Wow, it reminded me of such good times...
To ppl concerned with plotholes. From my pov, im 28yo now, I see so many, I hate it, but it's Julie Plec. I'm sure if I would watch TVD now I couldnt not see the plotholes which I didnt when Ive watch it when I was 18. So I cannot expect from the same person to suddenly be so much better at writing the shows.
There were so many things wrong with the way they had the anti magic I don't have time to list them.
This whole ep was...excessive and doing too much. They almost found the plot and kinda had it interesting but then....a mud child? Really? Corny as hell. Good thing Hope is the absolute saving grace of this show, even if they did erase her from existence. They truly made her another Bonnie we didn’t need (bc lord knows they did her terribly). Smh hopefully next season is better bc this is lowering my expectations.
I really do hope this show is coming back!
Well,
Josie nearly died after taking a supernatural bullet (which was invented out of nowhere) meant for her sister.
Hope did a cordless bungee jump into the pit, theorizing that her tribrid nature would stop Malivore (also the creation of a witch, vampire and werewolf) from being revived. Because Hope dove into Malivore, all memory of her existence has been erased from her friends’ minds. This is a problem for Rafael, who used Hope’s magic jewelry to turn into a wolf… and only she can turn him back. He doesn’t realize that the one person who can fix him is no longer in existence. Rafael will start Season 2 still as a wolf, which will do a huge number on him, psychologically speaking. Rafael will be stuck in wolf form like Hayley was and create some sort of psychological drama for the next season. Ultimately, the twins need to figure out how that ascendant works and what it means for them. And if you recall, when Bonnie Bennett put Kai in the prison world, it was because the twins at age three spelled the ascendant for her. They might use the ascendant to free hope from wherever world or prison world or dimension she is.
boring WHERE THE TWISTS AND SURPRISES AT GIRL????? The Mystical Vampire-Wolf-Witch Thing died with The Vampire Diaries and The Originals and now Legacies is crawling with that "out of this world creatures" but let's run a school for people who never age. How do they graduate anyways? lol Nice try copying the Harry Potter houses stylish sweaters too.

I'm not sure how I feel about what Hope did at the end. Having him burn her files seems a bit much. And she didn't call anyone from her family to say anything. Can loved ones on the other side remember those that are forgotten?
Raf is stuck a werewolf for the forseeable future- going through what Haley went through at the tail end of season 4 of TO.
The artifact the twins found is the ascendant from the prison world. They spelled it when they were 3, which is why it's familiar.
This episode did tie the season together pretty well.
