Babbitt and Catstello are two mice trying to swipe cheese from a fridge. The problem is there's a cat in the way. Obviously, this is a take on the Abbott and Costello ("Who's On First?") comedy pairing of the 40's and 50's. This is a fast-paced, loud cartoon, courtesy of director, Frank Tashlin. Babbitt is willing to sacrifice his little fat friend for some of that delicious cheese, and in the final chase, doesn't even attempt a rescue. Catstello is about as bright as a burned-out bulb, but manages to escape the cat, get the cheese and teach Babbitt a lesson. This is a forgotten gem.
