Decent short about a lovebird that's no longer loved by his wife so he contemplates suicide (in typically grim Looney Tunes fashion via cartoon thought balloon). The lovebird settles on getting a cat to eat him and that cat is an early version of Sylvester (I think). The cat refuses to eat the lovebird and the laughs come from the opposite thing that you'd expect occurring. Sylvester is in top form here, there's spit flying everywhere.
This cartoon never made it onto any of the six Looney Tunes Golden Collections DVD sets and then strangely appeared on the very last disc of the three volume Platinum Collection Blu-Ray sets. It was a nice surprise.
