Wasn't that pilot Samira Wiley?
I found this one boring.
A mix of Halo (specifically Halo Reach) and (maybe?) Megaman with the cross fusion communication.
Great animation and a fantastic performance by Samira Wiley. The story was alright but nothing that kept my interest much.
Nothing super special but a nice little tale of superstition and maybe more.
I liked how the pilot was unmistakably Samira Wiley.
Nice one if you're into war stories. Pretty realistic design. Dogfight is nice.
Kinda deals lightly with the "is a machine sentient ?" trope, which is kinda ridiculous in a series that is full of sentient machines.
Those space combats where chefs kiss. So nicely choreographed. I would've loved to see more of it.
Liked this one. Great execution. Only told what it needed to. No need to explain the enemies, or what they were fighting for.
While it lacks the emotional depth intended for any symphony to be earned. However, I like the cheeky nod with it being the 13th episode.
I really like the sense of humor the show has.
This has maybe the most gorgeous and realistic CG animation/art I've ever seen. It does pose the question of why not just use real actors instead of the time it must have taken to create the characters in this, but as an experiment in what is possible it's pretty mindblowing.
The story itself is excellent. I got a massive Wing Commander vibe from it all (and, now I guess it would be more apt to apply that to Star Citizen/Squadron 42 - this actually works as a pretty great trailer for that). Samira Wiley was instantly recognisable in the lead role and did a great job. What's most impressive is how engaging the story managed to be in such a short time, with the relationship forming between Colby and her ship.
The dogfight sequence above/under ground was just sublime.
