That was an amazing episode, maybe even the best one yet!
Brilliant! Simply brilliant! It hit me right in the feels and I swear I felt dizzy for like a minute. Those last 10 minutes were astonishing. They had me at the edge of my seat. Poor Charlotte. She had me in tears. And Amenadiel getting his wings back was also nice. However, the scene that hit me the most was watching Amenadiel crying, taking Charlotte's soul into Heaven by simply saying: "Let's go home". These things hit me when I least expect it.
Lucifer finally realizing what he needs to do without anyone telling him was great as well. That scene in the penthouse was lovely and heartwarming. I would've liked him to show Chloe his wings, but hey, nobody's perfect. About the kiss, well, I've got to say it, I'd love Chloe to really know he's the devil but I don't want to see them as a couple. I don't know why, I think it's just me the one who sees them as nothing more than partners. I just hope Pierce suffers a slow and painful death at the hands of whoever they want to. I don't care as long as he suffers and he goes to hell.
I loved Maze with everything I've got. I hated her character this season due to pure manufactured drama, but I do hope that Amenadiel's words had a positive effect on her, and judging from the synopsis for next episode, they do.
Delivery guy: Are you Dan Espinosa?"
Lucifer: "How dare you?!"
I laughed about loud at that part.
Overall, amazing episode. Really sold it for me. And the finale next week promises to be great. I'm gonna miss Charlotte, hell, I'm gonna miss Trivia Helfer. I hated Mom last season, but Charlotte grew on me with some great scenes and great acting from Tricia. I do hope she comes back somehow, even if it's just her life in Heaven.
I have never had an emotional attachment to an episode title before but Quintessential Deckerstar spoke to me <3
I'll miss Charlotte. And Amenadiel. And to hell with Pierce (literally!)
I knew for a while that this was coming because I had read some nasty spoilers, my mistake, never google a show you are late to watching anyway I was counting down the episodes I still had left with Charlotte, I am going to miss her a lot! I love the friendship she built with Amenadiel this season and how she wanted to redeem herself. Her death was the ultimate good deed and I was heartbroken to see her die but the way everything unfolded was just beautiful, Amenadiel getting his wings back and thus being able to bring her 'home'.
Amazing episode, the best one of this season.
Poor Dan, when things just started to settle down with him and Charlotte :(
This redeems all the bad episodes previous to this one. Amazing stuff, let's hope for 3 more seasons if they keep this up :)
At first, I was mad at the show and the episode, but then they have cleverly switched everything upside down, the show has come back stronger than ever XD What an amazing emotional episode, we are finally in the story X
A pretty mediocre episode like the few recent ones, but it had a great ending.
This episode's ending was emotionally intense, unlike anything we've ever seen in Lucifer, which I'm guessing it's why people are praising it. Still, the ending alone isn't enough to make the episode, which remained just another average entry in a quite forgettable season:
- The whole Pierce storyline seriously needs to be wrapped up, it's been dragging for too long without any meaningful impact on the story
- They need to stop ruining Maze, we couldn't hate her more even if we wanted to
- Lucifer's mom was fun, but they clearly had no clue about what to do with regular mortal Charlotte, she was as pointless as a character can possibly be (thankfully, they managed to give her character a very meaningful goodbye, which redeemed her useless part this season).
The real deal breaker will be the season finale, which is shaping up to be quite an interesting one, after those events from the last few minutes of this episode.
Poor Dan.. He can't be happy in this show...
Well, I just cried a bit. I loved Charlotte, and the actress that plays her. I loved Mom. And now they do this to her when the season was just awfully boring... I'm not sure how I'm going to keep watching this without her. Ella is just not the same. Also, having Amenadiel, my other favourite character with her at the time of her death and all their interactions really sold it to me and made me emotional. Guess that's a win for the show. I rarely cry with shows and movies.
Come on!!! So many annoying characters, and they go and kill Charlotte!?:person_facepalming: At least we still have Ella...
Despite some really good episodes the last few were slightly meh, if I'm honest. You could feel they were filler building up to something. And this episode packs a wallop. As Vero states in their review, the last 10 minutes were edge-of-the-seat stuff.
Very emotional episode. I like Charlotte so was sad to see her character go.
This ep is so sad but at the same time beautiful because of their soul
I really didn't see that ending coming; I was so shocked, but I guess looking back on this series you could see where it was going.
Wow that was a awesome episode. The ending was really sad, I have started to like Charlotte a lot. The character has developed a lot during this season. Happy for the kiss between Lucifer and Chloe! Can’t wait to see how they will end the story with Piers!
We should get more episodes like this one!
Charlotte's Death got me deeply emotional. It was really and indescribable meaningful to me...
I was at the edge for the last part of the episode ! Brilliant ! Thnak God Netflix saved it.
*So many Smallville references on the entire season !
God please NO! Tell me this isn’t the end of the road for Charlotte.
The thing gets interesting while preparing the finale series
