Amy outacted everyone around her and it was embarrassing to see that even as a kick ass character she was reduced to being the love interest of one of the mains. Clunky writing, cheesy everything, cliché central. This will be my first and last MacGyver.
Amy Acker deserves a character as good as Root in Person of Interest, this isn't it. Just wasted as an ex of Jack who needs rescuing. Probably will have an ex of Jack in every episode. Since I think the hacker girl is also an ex.
The writing is so bad... the acting also not that great...
But lovely seeing Amy Acker as a badass.
A better episode than the pilot, in my opinion. The bias and expectations from the original are now gone, so I can now enjoy and respect it for what it is. So, the second episode felt more natural and interesting. We'll see where this thing goes.
