But why do people insist, that servers can be remote "exploded" by "hacking" them? Even if it was possible, it wouldn't make sense - especially if you want to destroy the data. Hard drives will survive a CPU in most cases.
For the record: It is theoretically possible to damage hardware by introducing a virus into it's microprograms. In reality that never happened outside a lab. And even then it didn't cause the computers to explode.
Why would it? The temperature to destroy a CPU is way under the temperature needed to burn the involved materials...
