I understood Mei Lin’s desperation and need of a suicidal attack after she failed the subtle poisoning, but she really could have waited until she came to the harem next and stabbed her if she was contempt with dying either way… How does she know that evil brother will spare her daughter either way if she’s dead?

The best way to assassinate the khan when you can easly get close to him without suspicion is kill seven men in front of him and his guards then be captured.
